Adding potatoes from the oven makes the whole thing like a fantastic tour de force. Swiss chard is super healthy. Among other things, it consists of vitamins and minerals. It is related to spinach and it shrinks during cooking just like spinach however the leaves are stiffer. It is a versatile vegetable.

INGREDIENTS (2 persons)

  • Swiss chard 1 kg.
  • White Beans 250 gr.
  • Potatoes 1 kg.
  • Tomatoes 5 pcs.
  • Lombok (pepper/chili) red 2x
  • Garlic 4 tntjs.
  • Rosemary 1 sprig
  • Djahé 10 cm.
  • Black Pepper 2 tsp.
  • Sea Salt
  • Sweet Red Paprika 2 tsp.
  • Vegetable broth 1x
  • Pine nuts 1 tsp.
  • Olive Oil


  • Wajang
  • Oven dish
  • Carving knife
  • Peeling knife
  • Cutting board
  • Ladle
  • Sealing bar tray (left-over)


Preheat the oven to 180*.
1. Wash the swiss chard clean.
2. Cut potatoes (clean, unpeeled) into rough pieces (with skin)
3. Oven dish on the bottom slightly oil.
4. Potatoes in the oven dish.
5. Slight Sea Salt, Rosemary, oil on top. Mix everything together.
5. Oven dish in the oven about 60 minutes.
6. Red lombok, garlic coarsely chopped.
7. Chop tomatoes coarsely.
All ingredients organized on countertop. Ready for preparation.

1. Slightly oil the heated wajang.
2. Add tomatoes, red pepper, garlic. Stir gently.
3. Add the pine nuts. Simmer whole for 10 min over medium-high heat.
4. Add the stock cube, spices and tomato puree.
5. Add chard. Black pepper over it. Gently pull chard apart and stir.
Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
6. Add white beans. Gently stir everything together. Simmer for 10 minutes.
7. REMOVE ovendish from oven. Cover aluminium over it to cook a little after.
Poke holes in it.
8. Spoon the extra made chard into a container, then cooled with lid, store in fridge or freezer for another time.
Dinner ready. Serving up. Selamat makan!
