'Spicy Beef & Potatoes' 

SPICY BEEF is supersonic enjoyment!
Boiled potatoes on the side make the dish complete.
JENs recipes have a spicy bite. If you like less spicy, omit the red peppers in this
dish or remove the seeds.

◻︎Potatoes 1 kg.
◻︎Beef 1,5 pound
◻︎Unsalted Butter 100 gr.
◻︎½ Cup Water
◻︎2x Onions
◻︎Garlic 3 cloves
◻︎Red Chilé 2x
◻︎Bouillon cube 1x
◻︎Sea salt 1 tsp.
◻︎Black Pepper 1 tsp.
◻︎Bay Leaf 2x
◻︎Kaffir lime leaf 4x
◻︎Lemongrass powder 1 tbsp.
◻︎Galangal powder 1 tbsp.
◻︎Coriander powder 1 tbsp.
◻︎Dried Ginger 4x
◻︎Fish Sauce 1 tbsp.
◻︎Tomatoes 2x
◻︎Red bell Pepper 1x.
◻︎Turmeric powder 1 tbsp.
◻︎Brown Sugar 2 tbsp.
◻︎2x Spring Onions
◻︎Hazelnut powder 1 tbsp.
◻︎Water 2x ½ mug

Cut Beef into cubes. Season with 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. black pepper.
Put the meat in a bowl.
Coarsely chop:
3 cloves of Garlic, 2 onions, 2 spring onions, 2 Tomatoes and 1 red bell pepper.
Remove stems from 2 red Chilé.

Peel the potatoes. Wash them clean. Put them into the pan under water.
Set the pan ready on the stove for later.

In skillet over medium-high heat, bring butter to temperature.
Butter melted, foam gone. The butter browned.
Add the seasoned meat to the pan. Stir meat.
Add 1/2 cup water. Add onions.
Simmer for 15 minutes. In between stirring occasionally.
Add 2 whole red Chilé. Stir to mix.
Simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Add 1 bouillon cube. Stir to mix.
Add garlic. Stir to mix.
Add 2 Bay leaf. Add 4 Kaffir lime leaf. Simmer gently.
Add 1 tbsp. of Galangal powder. Stir to mix.
Add 1 tbsp. Lemongrass powder. Stir to mix.
Heat on low. Lid on pan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Lid of the pan.
Add 1 tbsp. Ketoembar.
Add 4 dried Ginger. Stir to mix.
Put lid back on pan. Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Lid of the pan.
Add 1 tbsp. of fish sauce. Stir to mix.
Add Tomatoes. Stir to mix.
Lid back on pan. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir occasionally in between.

Lid off pan.
Add red bell pepper. Stir to blend.
Add 1 tbsp Turmeric.
Add 2 tbsp brown Sugar. Stir quietly.

Add spring Onions.
Add 1 tbsp. Hazelnut powder. Stir to mix. Lid on pan.
Simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Lid off pan.
Add 1/2 mug water to meat. Stir to mix. Cover to pan.
Simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.


Cook Potatoes over medium-high heat (prox. for 20 minutes).

MEAT PAN Lid of pan.
Add 1/2 mug of water to meat.
Stir and mix. Lid on pan.
Simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
 Turn off the heat.

 Remove the pan from the heat.
Pour the water out of the pan, with the lid on at an angle.

Put the pan back on the heat. Cover the pan.
Boil the potatoes dry. Lid on the pan. Turn off heat.
Beef and Potatoes ready. Serve Spicy Beef over boiled potatoes. Selamat Makan!
